MAISON NISEKO
π HOKKAIDO, JAPAN
This vacation home was designed to integrate with the surrounding mountains of Nisekoβclad in the local birch wood found in the area. The home is centrally located on a hillside near the main city and ski resorts, yet secluded just enough to provide sense of quiet and retreat. The home features an open concept design to allow the rooms to naturally flow together and provide minimally obstructed views of the nearby landscape.
The home has three levels: the lowest level is built into the hillside and has a two-car garage that doubles along with a bedroom and bathroom; the second level consists of the main entry, an office area, bathroom, kitchen, main living and dining area; and patio and the top level has a master bedroom, bathroom and large patio area.
